This is a new challenge site for me. I found it while browsing some other talented artists sites. The name of the site conjured all sorts of wonderful imagery for me, so I decided to join in this month. "Embrace the Face" is the blog title.
I have always loved working with the female figure in my paintings. I'm usually not whimsical in my paintings, except when I look to the moon for my inspiration. I think the moon has such feminine qualities that I can't ever imagine the moon to be a man.
No man in the moon for me!
The painting above was a donated piece I did for the Monterey County Art Museum. Local artists big and small create miniatures and donate the pieces to help raise money for museum needs. $30,ooo. was raised last year for the cause.
My piece is entitled "A Not So
White Christmas"
