IMT prompt- Beach

After running around the sand and the surf it sure is nice to watch the sun set with your best buddy.

I have always been fortunate enough to live near the water. As a child in the Midwest on lake Michigan, and later in life in Manhattan the island surrounded by water, where we would escape to the beaches of The Hamptons. Today I live in a tiny burg in Northen California. Where the beaches are rugged and breathtaking, and the summers are lost in the cool fog.

What can I say I love my beaches.

This piece is watercolor on paper and is 9"x12"

IMT prompt- Polka Dot & AFC prompt-A Little Ray of Sunshine

Dottie was a dancing fool. The Waltz, Fox Trot, 2 Step, she loved them all. But the dance she was most passionate about was the Polka.  No matter where she was when she heard the Polka music start she would dance around the room. It is no wonder she earn the nick name "Polka Dot"

It has been a crazy weekend and I had to do the 2 for one deal here.

I started this illustration for A Fashionable Challenge when it posted last Thursday. I had come across this sun dress a few weeks ago when doing research for another prompt. I loved it and knew that it would be the model for this weeks prompt.
As I was working on AFC, IMT posted The polka dot prompt.
Both seemed to meld for me into one. I  use scrapping paper for backgrounds with all of my paper doll cutouts. the illo is
8 1/8" x 11" and she is done with watercolor colored pencils and tombow pens.

IMT prompt- Healing

This Angel image is part of a tryptich I did for a client last year.

Her only instruction to me was that she needed a Guardian Angel for her stores new location. To me this Angel was a healing angel for the store, community and for her shopping guests that frequented her new location.

The economy in our area has not fully recovered since 9/11 and we all need as much healing as we can get.

This angel has had much strength to help us get through the days.
She also has compassion, which heals her Charge daily.

acrylic on arched canvas, each canvas 9"wide x 15"high

A Fashionable Challenge- Night Moves

After  a long hard day battling the grind, Imogene likes nothing better than coming home and slipping into her fave PJs and robe. And if the mood strikes her she may even bust a move on her ever so neat tile floor.
