Embrace the Face prompt-Grow

i remember when i was young wanting to grow up fast

 and being able to do all of the things that my heart desired.

now i am older and realize that in order to grow

i must  wait for the season so that my hearts desire can become a reality.

this is my post for the january embrace the face challenge.

the prompt was grow.

i voted for the least voted for theme.  and then it looked like new beginning would be the theme and of course grow inched ahead and won.

i must admit it was my least favorite of the prompt words, oh well, i will go with the flow...

the painting above is a watercolor piece. my inspiration was the growing relationship of a mother daughter relationship. the old and the new, the giving and taking in the family bond, the continuous growth.

when i finished the piece, the word dream kept whispering to me. so i see this image now as dreaming of the growth from youth to matron and what was- once upon a time.
